Love Beyond Borders

Kenny McBride

This mural is a statement that speaks on immigration. A divisive topic, McBride and Amburgey take a firm stand on their position. A group of Mexican migrants make their way towards the Mexico/US border. They are welcomed by Lady Liberty, who made a heart-shaped hole in the border wall using a sledgehammer. Behind her are excited American citizens that are ready to welcome their new neighbors. Mural Project in Partnership with Washington Middle School and sponsored by Habitat for Humanity, Council District 1, and Edison.
