Hustle Hard, Ball Harder
On the Rise was a transformative initiative supported by the California Arts Council and presented by Books and Buckets and ArtsLB. This project beautified the renovated 14th Street Park basketball courts in the Washington Neighborhood, bringing together local youth and local artist Tracy Negrete Allen. Negrete Allen, who grew up in the Washington Neighborhood, collaborated with neighborhood youth to create two vibrant murals on the basketball courts.
