This weekend promises to be a vibrant celebration of both community and creativity at the annual Long Beach Pride Parade and Festival, happening on May 18th and 19th. As we revel in the joy and diversity of the LGBTQ+ community, the Arts Council for Long Beach is delighted to invite everyone to a special showcase that blends art with the spirit of Pride.

Located in Zone 4, near the east entrance, our Art Expo booth will be a highlight of the festival, featuring an awe-inspiring exhibition of works by the exceptionally gifted artists, Christopher Labine and Toria Maldonado. These artists bring their unique perspectives and voices to the canvas, creating pieces that resonate deeply with themes of identity, expression, and freedom. Their artwork not only adorns the space but also ignites conversations and fosters a deeper appreciation for the diverse experiences within the LGBTQ+ community.

In addition to the stunning art display, our booth will also feature offerings from Queer 360 vendors, providing an array of items that celebrate queer culture and creativity. From handmade crafts to bespoke pieces, these vendors showcase the talent and entrepreneurial spirit of the community. As you enjoy the parade and the plethora of activities at the festival, make sure to stop by the Arts Council’s booth to immerse yourself in the artistic expressions of pride and solidarity. Let’s come together this weekend to support local artists and celebrate the rich tapestry of our community at the Long Beach Pride Parade and Festival. See you there!
