Thanks to our grant from the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG), the Arts Council for Long Beach activated the intersection of 15th St. and Chestnut Ave. with our partners, Long Beach Day Nursery and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles, in efforts to increase awareness of pedestrian safety using the SCAG Kit of Parts.
Community members, passersby, and event goers can experience what the Community Corners project envisions to achieve by extending the four curbs of the intersection using bulb-outs. To learn more about the project, click the button below to check out the project page on our website.
