Riparian trees, like cottonwoods, willows, and sycamores, have grown near Long Beach waterways for centuries. Spanish, Mexican, and other European settlers introduced new trees, like pepper and eucalyptus. Our contemporary treescape includes jacarandas, magnolias, and crepe myrtles.
