“Long Beach High Five” represents artist Jorge Mujica’s appreciation for the city with influences from his culture. The painted figures of his sculpture references Long Beach landmarks such as the Queen Mary, while the colors and various images on the sculpture is inspired by the Aztec monolith, Tlaloc.
