Eagle Band Jazz Mural

Joseph Giri

This large mural (21′ x 45′) pays tribute to the Eagle Band, one of the earliest documented jazz bands. The Eagle Band was very popular in New Orleans between 1907 and 1917. Although commissioned by the RDA as a temporary mural on a privately owned building, this mural is so popular that it has remained in place for nearly 20 years.
