Tidawhitney Lek is a Cambodia Town native and recently graduated from California State University, Long Beach in 2017. The homage to her heritage portrays the landscape and lifestyle familiar to the older generation that emigrated from Cambodia. In contrast, their children see an unfamiliar landscape. The mural is complete with Cambodian farmers riding their cattle into the river and flower fields populated with butterflies and birds.
