aqui, juntos is a piece dedicated to the children and community of Long Beach that Vanessa calls “mi home”. Growing up, Vanessa remembers all the times they would travel by foot as a kid with their ma and grandma through these very neighborhoods. They were in awe of the diversity of people and culture it had cultivated. Here, together captures the essence of spreading love and joy to each other. It acts as a reminder to slow down and appreciate all of what the city has to offer. Everyday there is something more to experience, as we exist together.
