Standing Ovation is a mystical and moving tale where drag and community reclaim center stage! This original jukebox musical is a one-night-only spectacular you won’t want to miss.

The story follows a group of teens who sneak into a historic queer theater the night before its demolition. There, they’re met by the glittering spirits of three legendary drag performers who guide them on a humorous, heartfelt journey about allyship, chosen family, and building community—even when sacred spaces are taken away.

Created by the LGBTQ Center Long Beach’s Youth and Family Services Department, in partnership with CXP Productions and three dazzling local drag queens, this one-of-a-kind show celebrates the power of queer creativity, collaboration, and community.
