CELEBRATING AAPI-LATINX! DANCE PERFORMANCE WITH MALAYA FILIPINO DANCE ARTS

Celebrate AAPI Latinx Heritage at MOLAA! In Tagalog “malaya” means to be free and Malaya demonstrates the feeling of freedom when they perform, embracing both Filipino and American cultures. Join us as this ensemble of performing artists share their ancestral, indigenous, and present lives through regional dances and discussion.

About the Artist: Los Angeles’ own Malaya Filipino American Dance Arts is an ensemble of performing artists who celebrate their love for Filipino culture through dance and music! In Tagalog “malaya” means to be free and Malaya demonstrates the feeling of freedom when they perform, embracing both Filipino and American cultures as they share their ancestral, indigenous, and present lives. Malaya is dedicated to serving the city of Los Angeles and supporting the Filipino community through the artistic practice of Philippine dance and music with integrity to tradition along with innovation to inspire future generations to continue the legacy of Philippine culture in America.
