Determination LB

DETERMINATION LB was an arts education and public art project composed of both art and health & wellness workshops for youth ages 16-24. This program was led by artist Big Sleeps and Centro CHA staff.

Youth were taught artistic skills and deep community connections.

The DETERMINATION LB mural reveal and culmination event took place on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the Long Beach Transit Yard (1963 E. Anaheim St., Long Beach, CA 90804).

Determination LB was a program of the Arts Council for Long Beach in partnership with Long Beach Transit and Centro Cha Inc.

“Determination” by Big Sleeps

Los Angeles artist Big Sleeps partnered up with the Arts Council for Long Beach and Long Beach Transit to create the mural “Determination” on Cherry Avenue and Anaheim Street. The artist talks about his piece and his transition into being an artist.
