We are excited to announce the upcoming installation of a new public art project, A River Connects Us, along Anaheim Blvd in Long Beach. This project, led by the AOC7 Neighborhood Association in collaboration with the Arts Council for Long Beach, will bring vibrant artwork to eight utility boxes, transforming these everyday structures into stunning pieces of art.

The AOC7 Neighborhood Association initiated a Call for Artists, inviting local talent to submit proposals for designs that encapsulate the theme “A River Connects Us.” This theme beautifully reflects the idea of connection and flow within our community, symbolizing unity and the natural beauty that links us all.

Meet the Artists

We are thrilled to introduce the eight talented artists whose designs have been selected for this project:

Each artist has created a unique design that will be vinyl-wrapped in high resolution and installed on the utility boxes by the City of Long Beach. These artworks will not only beautify our streets but also serve as a visual representation of our community’s creativity and spirit.

Community Collaboration

This project is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the AOC7 Neighborhood Association. Their commitment to enhancing the local environment and fostering a sense of community through art is truly inspiring. We extend our deepest gratitude to the AOC7 Neighborhood Association for their leadership and vision. Their efforts have made this project possible and continue to inspire everyone around them.

Installation and Unveiling

The installation of these beautifully designed utility boxes will take place soon, adding a new layer of artistic expression to Anaheim Blvd. We encourage everyone to visit the area and experience the art firsthand, celebrating the creativity and connection that A River Connects Us brings to our community.

Stay tuned for updates on the installation and unveiling dates. We look forward to sharing these incredible artworks with you and celebrating the artists who bring such vibrancy to our city.
