This week we’re featuring Long Beach resident Annie Banks one of our talented Port PHOTO Alumni who is a creative entrepreneur. Annie is an avid photographer that has a bachelors from Fresno State University and an AA in photography from Cosumnes River College in Sacramento and has been retired for several years. She was trained in traditional darkroom photography which influences her current digital photography, but uses various art mediums such as watercolor painting, tie dye, jewelry making, various crafts, and whatever medium she can use to capture beauty. Annie says “I love to create something out of nothing, it makes my soul so very happy. I love being an artsy person.”..PhotoWorks is in collaboration with @portoflongbeach & @artslb. We will be featuring Port PHOTO alumni from our previous cohorts via social media to show their work and tell you what they’re up to!
