Musica Angelica is a world-class musical group that plays 18th-century classical music on baroque instruments. These period instruments allow listeners to experience Bach and Mozart’s compositions the way they were intended to be heard. The musicians use lighter baroque bows, woodwinds with few keys, brass with no valves, harpsichords and lutes. Musica Angelica played its first concert in Long Beach 23 years ago and continued a successful career playing throughout Southern California, often featuring world-renowned musicians. Musica Angelica’s season, which starts September 25, will be the first at their new home in Long Beach. Schedules and tickets can be found on their website.
