Opening The Pointe in 1996, brought to life two long held dreams by the Housing and Residential Life Office: creating an Educational Center for Residential Life programs and events, as well as providing a first-rate facility for banquets, receptions and conferences. Carved from an 8500 square foot triangle in the northwest corner of The Walter Pyramid, the elegantly curved wall and drop lighting along The Gallery reception area provides a unique backdrop for each occasion. The Pacific Sunset Room, with its 12 foot coffered ceiling provides banquet space for up to 200 people, theatre style seating for 350 or may be divided in half to meet the program needs of smaller programs. More intimate seminars and programs of 25-65 peple may also be hosted in the warm atmosphere of the Frank Bowman Summit Room.
