Blue Sky Center, a rural community development nonprofit in New Cuyama, CA, is seeking applications for an artist fellowship for three weeks in October 2019.

Blue Sky Center’s Desert Fellow will develop an independent creative project that thoughtfully engages local residents. This work will be site-responsive, with an on-site proposal process guided by our staff and informed by the Fellow’s experiences listening and learning from Cuyama Valley communities. Concurrently, the Fellow will work alongside Blue Sky Center staff to develop a second, organization-specific project(s) that will in some way further the Blue Sky mission and build organizational capacity. Compensation includes lodging, some meals, and may include artist materials/supplies, along with a $1,500 stipend and up to $400 in travel reimbursement.

Please see full call for more information. We encourage you to apply and/or to share this with your network for others that may be interested.

Applications are due by 11:59PM (Pacific) on July 7, 2019, via this Google Form along with submitting a single PDF (as described in the call) to RFP@blueskycenter.org
