We know that the past few days have brought uncertainty and concern, and we want to reassure you that the Arts Council for Long Beach is doing everything in our power to advocate for grantees and partners and protect the funding that sustains your work.

As you may have seen, the Trump Administration has rescinded its initial directive to freeze federal programs and grants. While this is a temporary victory, we anticipate further policy changes that could impact arts funding at the federal and state levels. Please know that we are closely monitoring these developments and will continue to keep you informed.

The Arts Council remains committed to ensuring that all artists and cultural organizations have the resources they need to thrive. We are in direct contact with our local, state, and federal representatives and arts leaders across the country to coordinate a strong response and advocate for the continuation of critical funding.

In the coming days, we will provide updates on briefings, talking points, and any necessary actions we can take together. We encourage you to reach out with any concerns or questions—we are here to support you.

These are challenging times, but we will remain steadfast in our mission to champion the arts and protect our creative community. Thank you for your resilience, dedication, and all you do to make Long Beach a vibrant hub for artistic expression.

In solidarity,

Arts Council for Long Beach
