The Arts Council for Long Beach will be at State Senator Lena Gonzalez’ Dia de los Muertos Pop-up event this Friday. We will be paying our respects and honoring two artists lost this year: Toko Tasi and Katie Phillips. Please join us as we remember their work in the community. We will also have a community altar set up to bring memories of loved ones who have passed.

State Senator Lena Gonzalez, in partnership with First Council District Office, City of Long Beach, the City of Long Beach, CA, Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn and the Water Replenishment District of Southern California, will be co-hosting a Dia de los Muertos pop-up event in downtown Long Beach.

Come join Senator Gonzalez and her Staff at this free, family friendly event where members of the community are encouraged to join in the celebration of Dia de los Muertos and meet Senator Gonzalez and staff to learn more about how their District office can assist you.

This event will feature a street closure of Promenade N. between 3rd Street and 5th Street in the City of Long Beach and will feature artists and merchandise vendors of Senate District 33, a D.J. and live music.

Two hour free parking is available at adjacent parking structures.
