Martin Luther King Jr. is remembered for his accomplishments in obtaining civil rights reform as well as being a leader that inspired and allowed hope to flourish within individuals, especially those belonging to the Black community. Hugo Lomeli opted for a full, front facing portrait that is the focal point of his work. Calligraphy style lines extend from his head amid a purple background.
