Untitled
Low Bros
The Low Bros mural features their signature style of interaction between two-dimensionality and three-dimensionality: geometric and organic shapes, cubic effects, expressive color grids and multifaceted patterns that brings their work to life is demonstrated through this colorful piece. Influences from design and illustration can be seen, as well as the cool and abstract video game aesthetics from the 80s and 90s, and the psychedelic shapes and colors of ancient cultures. Jeff Soto’s mural displays his techniques in both traditional painting and street graffiti, which he heavily uses in his pieces. The artist’s distinct color palette, subject matter and technique bridge the gap between pop surrealism and street art. Inspired by youthful nostalgia, nature, and popular culture, his bold, representational work is simultaneously accessible and stimulating.
