The Found Theatre

In partial fulfillment of its Percent for Public Art obligation, the developer of CityPlace agreed to build out a 1,528-square-foot space for the Found Theatre, which occupies the space under a 10-year lease and operates a community theatre. Funding for the project, which included tenant improvements and a rental subsidy, came from a combination of CityPlace Percent for Public Art fees and an RDA contribution. Expenditures supported by the RDA included a marquee, audience risers, theater lighting equipment and exterior display cases. As a match to the RDA contribution, the Found Theatre raised $20,000 in in-kind donations of labor and material.
