Silhouettes

Scott Blumenthal

Phase I of the project saw the creation of the mural on Pine Avenue, south of Ocean Boulevard. The mural features silhouettes of people moving from The Pike up Pine Avenue doing various activities. The 66′ mural is colorful with nondescript buildings in the background.

Phase II of the project saw the creation of the mural on Ocean Boulevard between Pine Avenue and The Promenade. This mural features the same type of silhouette scene, with more emphasis on bicyclists and the waterfront background elements, including the Queen Mary, the Lions lighthouse and the former Spruce Goose dome. The 150′ mural flows east to The Promenade.
