Food for the Heart

IMAGINE

This mural is a colorful tribute to Nepali cooking and the way food brings people together. The bright turmeric background comes from memories of the artist’s family kitchen, and the hand-painted text lists the simple ingredients for daahl, a classic Nepali lentil soup. The building’s arched windows reminded the artist of Newari temples, inspiring them to decorate the ledge with lettering just like temple designs. The result is a warm, welcoming piece that celebrates culture, home, and shared meals.
