Flying Morrison
Jim Coke
Flying Morrison is a wheat paste of Jim Morrison, lead singer of The Doors. He is flying sideways as he sings into a microphone. The photographer and artist of the wheat paste mural is local artist Jim Coke. The piece was originally installed in 2013. Since then, the old piece was taken down and reinstalled in summer of 2015. The piece is located across the street from Fingerprints, a local record store. The image is originally from a concert that Coke attended in the 60s. Now, it is affixed to the East Village Building.
