Family Tree

Family Tree is integrated into the Renaissance Square development and provides a poetic element to this mixed-use project. At the southwest corner of the site stands a cast 12′ bronze tree intended by the artist as a metaphor for family. Natural stones surround the tree and three have been etched with Khmer, English and Spanish text, which reads, “There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children. One is roots, the other, wings. – Hodding Carter.”
