On Thursday, September 6 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Ponybox Dance Theatre movement artist Elijah Laurant will perform a dance interpretation of the current exhibition Stories of Boundaries at the Collaborative Gallery (421 West Broadway.)
Elijah Laurant was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles. He has received scholarships to attend classes at South Bay Ballet and the Ailey School in NYC. Elijah studied dance with Jamie at El Camino College and is one of the founding dancers of Pony Box Dance Theatre. He has also performed in works by Matthew Rushing, Wendy Baity, Christopher Rudd, Jennifer Mueller, Roberto Villanueva and Joshua Beamish. Currently, Elijah is a company member of Stephen Petronio Dance Company.
