The Arts Council for Long Beach is excited to be offering Eye on Design for the 11th year in a row to third-grade students in the Long Beach Unified School District (LBUSD)! Eye on Design is a unique 15-week arts education program that encourages civic involvement, critical thinking and creative problem solving. Throughout the 15 weeks, students work with a teaching artist on visual arts concepts, attend two fieldtrips within Long Beach and create a public art mosaic. The program exposes students to the public art in their community and an area of art making typically unfamiliar to them. Third grade teachers within LBUSD are eligible to apply.
