Please come out next Friday August 29, 7-9 pm for a community OPEN MIC to raise funds for the Belonging & Resiliency Fund — all proceeds go directly to immigrant families affected by the ICE raids for things like groceries and necessary supplies.

So if you’re sweating because August 2025 is TOO HOT FOR ICE, come out and cool down with some creative community vibes.

Hosted by Long Beach Forward. Nancy Woo will be your emcee for the evening.

All art forms welcome! Bring your poetry, short prose, music, comedy, or any kind of share – a personal reflection, a “behind the scenes” of something creative you do, or anything really.

Time limit will depend on how many people show up but likely between 3-5 minutes.

We want to hear what you’ve got!

No one turned away for lack of funds, but there is a suggested minimum donation of $10 to support unfairly persecuted community members.
