The California Dream will become a reality for five artists whose work is coming to Loiter Galleries this October. Back in the early 20th century, the unofficial ‘California Arts’ movement began. A kind of impressionism based period, this was a “make your own rules,” free spirited time whose atmosphere continues today with the diverse grouping of artists featured in “California Dreaming,” curated by Loiter Galleries.

Painter Eduardo Rivera, the sole artist not residing in the area, lives in Cuba and has long aspired to exhibit in California.

This exhibit will coincide with the Long Beach Open Studio tour, which takes place October 11-12; and the Downtown Art+Design Walk, hosted by Downtown Long Beach Alliance, on October 11th. “California Dreaming” will run from October 11th through November 15th
