The Hmong New Year Festival is a two day celebration of Hmong culture including passing through the gate into the new Year, opening parade, dignitary greetings, master and student artists performances in dance, song chanting, drumming, qeej, and more.
The festival includes traditional food booths, arts and crafts booths, and sports competitions.
Hmong families dress in elaborate embroidered and apppliqued clothes decorated with tinkling silver coins and elaborate head coverings.
It is a joyful day when families gather from far and wide. Everyone is welcome.
