Council District 8

Council District 8 houses the neighborhoods of Bixby Knolls (north of San Antonio Dr.), Addams, Dairy, Lindbergh, Carmelitos, Paramount, Longwood, Coolidge Triangle and Sutter.

District 8 contains a wide array of public art from sculptural work commemorating Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific’s first successful breeding of weedy sea dragons in the world to murals celebrating the immense ethnic diversity that comprises and strengthens the entirety of Long Beach as seen in Jose Loza’s “A Neighborhood Perspective” speaking on the importance of community involvement with public art.
