The Highlands Art Collective

The Highlands Art Collective — Proud to Represent Great Artists, and Those Destined to be Great.

We are artist representatives. We are not a gallery. Our mission is to increase exposure and induce sales for deserving artists, to help them achieve a stable living from their art.

The plight of almost all artists is running from one project or commission to another, feeling stuck in an endless cycle of peaks and valleys in income, boom or bust, seemingly always behind the financial curve The typical artist conundrum: I have have a substantial body of work–so how do I monetize these assets without taking valuable time away from the process and joy of making art?

The Highlands Art Collective mission is to leverage the artist’s assets so they get increased awareness of their work, and to amplify the value of their individual brand. The Artist is the brand, and their art is the product.

That’s strategy to help artists in the Collective gain incremental sales through our existing channels, supplement their income and do so in a worry-free, non-exclusive arrangement they can opt out of any time.

Our artist agreement is structured as an Affiliation. It’s not an exclusive relationship, so the artist is free to gain sales from commissions or gallery shows or elsewhere the get themselves. We only earn a commission on any sales that are gained through our efforts. Our sales commission is 25%, which we believe is fair value versus the standard gallery commission of 50%, especially since we provide the Artist a range of services a gallery does not. Including:

– Website Presence. We give the artist a dedicated page on The Highlands Art Collective website.
– Website Merch Store. We collaborate with you on merchandise featuring your art to sell in our store–T-shirts, prints, mugs, etc.
– PR and Email. We write and distribute Press Releases for you Our lists include art media, general media, art advisors, art buyers, influencers, art galleries and civic arts councils National and international distribution.
– Socials and YouTube. We promote you and art on our FB, IG, LI and YouTube channel.
– Gallery Events. The Highlands Art Collective is distinguished by our engaging gallery events. We go beyond “stuff on the wall” We create gallery events attendees can participate in–to create art individually and collectively at the event. It’s fun, it’s memorable and it riffs on the Artist’s work in ways that strengthen the bond between art lovers and you, to help build your brand.
– Art Sellers. We place your art for sale on our SaatchiArt and King’s Auction pages.
– Industry Associations. We plug you into our strong relationships with the Praxis Center for Aesthetic Studies, Arts Council for Long Beach and others. These valuable associations expand Artist awareness and desirability via profiles, news, ideas and lists for our database.

We believe it’s a zero-risk opportunity for the Artist. All upside income potential that doesn’t preclude income from their other pursuits.
