The Don Brown Collective

The Don Brown Collective was founded by Don Brown, a professionally trained Jazz drummer from Los Angeles. Don Brown started the collective with the intention to call, hire, but ultimately, play with his fellow musicians and friends. The purpose of the collective is to cycle and distribute performance opportunities between friends, giving different musicians the chance to rotate and create music with each other. The Collective’s objective is to highlight local musicians, expose different demographics to jazz music, and celebrate chemistry that exists between them and their love of jazz. The Collective can look like a trio, quartet, quintet, and larger arrangements.
