The Dirty Patti Show
Christina Elaine Vasquez is a multimedia storyteller working at the intersection of media arts, puppetry, and video journalism. Her work blends puppetry, writing, performance, and visual storytelling through skits, and documentary-style artist interviews. Her artistic journey began with the development of Shezilla Cabaret, a critically acclaimed live, intersectional feminist cabaret in 2014 designed to elevate underrepresented voices in the arts through a fusion of live performance and social commentary. Her project The Dirty Patti Show emerged from wanting to create something that could endure beyond the limitations of live events. The Dirty Patti Show, is a multimedia platform built to archive, celebrate, and elevate underground and emerging artists—particularly those whose voices are often overlooked or underrepresented.
Through her puppet character, Dirty Patti, she has produced artist interviews for the Long Beach Post and is currently producing The Dirty Patti Show for the Más Fun TV network on Roku. The Dirty Patti Show is a whimsical and compelling blend of BBC-style art documentary and the playful charm of The Muppet Show. The mission and vision of The Dirty Patti Show is to make art accessible to a wider audience, with the intention of fostering connection through the unifying language of compassion and understanding.
Dirty Patti has MC’d live events at Tom House for the Tom of Finland Foundation, the OUT LOUD: Queer Futures Festival, and numerous other live events produced and curated by Vasquez.
