Second Wind

Second Wind is an acoustical band based in Long Beach, California.   Blending acoustic guitars, acoustic bass, banjo, and harmonica with beautiful vocal harmonies provides a sound that invites a diverse musical repertoire.  Along with original material, Second Wind’s music bridges folk, bluegrass, country, jazz, pop, and French songs which are familiar to most American audiences. From the Beatles’ classic tune “Your Mother Should Know”, Second Wind established its by-line: Songs Your Mother Should Know.  The band has played diverse events and venues in California, including Los Angeles, Long Beach, Orange, San Diego, Vista, and Santa Barbara. Notably, the band has been a regular at Fete de la Musique in Laguna Beach. They have toured in France and Louisiana.  Second Wind can be currently seen weekly on Wednesdays at Ubuntu Cafe in Long Beach, CA. The live performance at Le Cosy Montparnasse in Paris, France, is available on CD. Band members currently include Marc and Pattie Davidson, and Charlie Horvitz.  Legacy members have included Dave Noferi and Tom Gallo.
