Roz Walker – Photography (natural light) and Design.

How did my love for photography begin? A business trip to New York, and the gift of a camera sparked a passion for photography.
In 2013, I exhibited my first solo show simultaneously at the Long Beach Public Library and Long Beach City Hall.
Additionally, my work was shown at: Berlin Cafe, Graphaids Art Supply and “Friends of Bixby Park” in Long Beach.
In Los Angeles, I exhibited at: Eames Office – solo show, West Elm – “Designers and Makers” and Silk Trading
Company.
My artistry spans a 20 year career: in fashion, clothing, interior design, and working in multiple disciplines.
My tools are simple – natural light and my digital camera.
Tabula rasa is what fuels my imagination and pursuing new artistic realities.
I welcome creative collaborations and the opportunity to design a bespoke work for clients.

Metro Commute: Architecture ~ Sound ~ Light (2024)
This photographic film project was a year long observation of my daily commute from Long Beach to Los Angeles. It is from the perspective of experiencing the city through the senses: architecture, sound, light and public transportation on the Metro. This is a proposal project for the Metro.

Skate - Abandoned Buildings
Skate is a series of images taken on the streets of Long Beach, and reimagined as photographic paintings. The idea was to capture the movement and form of skaters on concrete, and the visual language of graffiti as a font artform.

"Rusted" pipe at a construction site. (2012)
My favorite activity is walking in my neighborhood looking at beautiful trees and nature. I also love photographing things that wouldbe considered ordinary: discarded trash, abandoned buildings, and machines are intriguing. In my mind's eye, it is another kind of beauty to be transformed.
