Rosy Cortez is an oil painter, photographer and muralist. She studied Fine Art and Photography at Riverside Community College and received a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Figurative painting from California State University of Long Beach. During her undergrad she was a Getty Multicultural Intern for Watts Towers Art Center and curatorial intern for Rancho Los Cerritos Historic Site. She is a community artist in Riverside,CA working with Riverside Art Museum and The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art & Culture. She is currently Artist-in-Resdience for UCR’s Latino and Latin American Research Studies center. She is also a member of a community art studio called Eastside Arthouse, that aims to empower artists in the Inland Empire.
