Robbie Covacevich

Saxophonist, band leader and music educator Rob Covacevich (a.k.a. Mr. C) is a highly experienced and versatile professional musician and music educator. Covacevich has performed and recorded with several well-known artists and bands throughout his career such as jazz trumpeter Roy Hargrove, Michael Ray from Kool & The Gang, Marc Ford from the Black Crowes and Karl Denson from Lenny Kravitz to name a few. He has performed at major music festivals and stages across the globe, and performs regularly in the Los Angeles, Long Beach and Orange County area. His most recent studio recording project in 2020 was a global awareness program called Playing for Change on YouTube with American singer/songwriter Dr. John and drummer Bill Kreutzmann from the Grateful Dead. Originally from Oceanside, CA., Covacevich earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music from California State University, Fullerton.

As a professional music educator, Mr. C is dedicated to the performing arts in music education. Mr. Covacevich is currently the Instrumental Music Director at Masuda Middle School in Fountain Valley where he has built a quality concert band, rock band, jazz band, orchestra and choir program since 2013. Mr.C enjoys inviting students, parents, teachers and staff to many of his live performances, and his students get to perform for the local community such as the Fountain Valley Summerfest, the Tết Festival at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa, the Performing Arts Showcase at Disneyland, the Angels Baseball game, and many others.
