nPrevail

nPrevail (a.k.a. Nelson Nailat) is a House, Disco, and Funk DJ that has been spinning throughout Los Angeles county since 2006. After moving to Long Beach in 2005, he had learned the craft of DJing through a LA-based nonprofit program called Sessions LA, a music writing, production, recording, and DJing program for youth and young adults that started in the Historic Filipinotown LA. As a youth, nPrevail has had strong influences from Hip Hop, samples and breaks, and an eclectic collection of music through his record digging days. Currently, he continues to work on music with a DJ collective he had co-founded called Hasi La Pheeque, along with a podcast called Hasi La Pheeque Radio, and currently shares a residency in Long Beach called Not Quite Disco.

nPrevail’s goal is to empower and build with communities using, but not limited to, House and Disco as his driving catalyst. With his passion for DJing and dancing, he hopes to share his appreciation for music to all communities of various backgrounds, create a safe space to empower all dancers, groovers, and alike, and build with these communities and spaces to promote culture and movement.
