Joan Didion said, “I write entirely to find out what I’m thinking, what I’m looking at, what I see and what it means.” I take my own life experiences and mine them for truth, humor, and deep connection. My writing style is suited to my performance rhythms and unique strengths as a professional storyteller. There is nothing more satisfying to me than feeling an entire room full of people nod and laugh with recognition.
Megan is a Long Beach-based mother/writer/actor/storyteller who has performed at The Moth, the Hollywood Fringe Festival, and as part of “Expressing Motherhood,” She graduated from CSULB with a BA in theater arts and was a co-founder of the Elephant Theatre Company in Los Angeles (along with many other CSULB alumni) which built a reputation for championing new American plays from 1995-2015. Megan has written and performed three solo shows, “Blind Fish” in 2001, “Snack” in 2015, and “Not The Right Mom (formerly known as Lemur Mom)” in 2018. “Lemur Mom” played in many cities in Southern California with successful runs at CSULB and Long Beach Playhouse.
