MARYA MAZOR is an award winning and critically acclaimed director of theatre and film. Marya recently directed the 2020 LA Times Critic’s Pick production of Fun Home at The Chance Theater as well as Donald Margulies’ The Model Apartment for The Geffen Playhouse, and Tribes at The Chance Theater (OC Register Best Play 2017) and The Rescued at The Road Theater Company (Stage Raw Award Nominee) and A Splintered Soul at ICT in Long Beach. Other favorite productions include Ivy & Bean at South Coast Rep, Out of Our Father’s House for the Edinburgh Fringe,That Pretty Pretty… or the Rape Play at Son of Semele, Mad Forest at the Open Fist, The English Bride at the Road, and The Goat (LA Times Critic’s Pick) as well as Aladdin for the Disney Cruise Lines. Her short film, The Winged Man, written by Oscar nominee Jose Rivera, was part of AFI’s Directing Workshop for Women and played festivals worldwide.
