Lilia M Sanchez

My name is Lilia Sanchez, and I am currently a student at CSULB hoping to get my teaching credential in the near future. My goal is to be an art teacher and teach kids about art. I am of course an artist and I have loved art since I was young. I was always known as “the artist” of the family which is completely true. Ever since I can remember drawing was always part of my life. I mean art is one of those things that all kids get to experience at such a young age but not all stick with it, or that is what they believe. Art is such a universal thing that people can connect with easily, either with music, performing, cinema, painting and much more, art is all over the place and while people might not notice it is part of our daily life.

My favorite mediums to work with as of right now are oil paint and charcoal. I do not believe I have a “style” of art as of right now. Most artists have their own way of creating art, and it is somewhat easy to recognize an artists’ work based on that. I am always open to exploring and creating new art. I believe that keeping an open mind is much more fun.
