Kids Drumming

The Kids Drumming mission is to teach children about different cultures through percussion, movement, and language. We take participants on a ‘World Percussion Journey’ by learning about various instruments and rhythms played around the globe. We believe that the world’s wide array of drums are a fun and effective way to communicate across geographical and cultural lines which allows students to explore and celebrate human diversity!

The drum is used as a means to communicate and through the drum we explore spoken and rhythmic language. Participants learn how to move to a variety of exciting rhythms, and learn how to greet and say short phrases in several different languages! (Eg., Farsi, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, Chinese and Arabic). We strongly believe that everyone has value, meaning and purpose so Kids Drumming classes strive to create an engaging environment where participants have freedom to express themselves while learning more about the world. We invite all children, parents, and educators to join our movement and help us to bring more cultural awareness to our local communities and to humanity at large!
