Junior Martinez Caudillo

My constant desire in my artistic endeavor is to push the “norms” of not only the creative world but society as well. Though the intention for this push is not for shock value, rather to bring subjects once in the dark into the light and foster discussion. As an individual raised with graphics arts, storytelling is vital for the works and this is amplified with my Mexican heritage and living in a border town. Themes explored are self identity, sexuality and the eternal struggle to “do the right thing”.
If not painting for personal interests, community and giving other’s the opportunity to express themselves in a creative capacity. Truly, the arts can be a vehicle of liberation and I offer always my knowledge and skills to those interested. Not only do I strive to share my stories but of my community as well.
