Jivita Jewelry
Raw, earthy and modern, Jivita’s sterling silver jewelry is an exploration of functionality and beauty. Each piece is hand-fabricated, using traditional metalsmithing techniques. Sketchlike and layered, makers marks by file and hammer are left in place to create organic pieces of natural imperfection. Each piece is heavy in earthy texture and patina while made to be worn daily with comfort and ease. Unusual stones are used to create nature infused pieces that tell a unique story of California life.
Jivita Harris-Casey earned a Metal Arts degree at California State University Long Beach. She has made jewelry for over 20 years, creating a body of work inspired by California’s landscape and culture.
She has been participating in award winning art festivals since 2001 and has built a solid California collectors base.
She does a custom collection for the Getty Museum, which has continued to sell for over ten years. She also does custom special occasion jewelry, focusing on alternative bridal designs.
The work is regularly featured on television (most recently in shows such as: This is Us, How to Get Away with Murder, Switched at Birth and Private Practice) and is available in several custom lines at museum stores, boutiques, and artisan shops across the country.
