The Award Winning, All-Ages Latin, Ballroom, Hip Hop, Jazz, & Folkloric Dance Company in Long Beach, California.

JD Company began in 2012, when founder Jose Diaz began a Kids’ Latin Dance Class in Long Beach, California. The class quickly grew into multi-level teams and age ranges, all learning the same technique and the largest variety of dance styles you’ll find anywhere. “The Mambo Chicks”, “The Mambo Minis”, “Mambo Ninjas” and the JD Dance Co. Partner Teams & Grupo Folklorico have each developed to include dancers from all backgrounds and with all level of experience, shaping each student into a star pupil and performer! To date, the company has performed at countless venues, and many more to come in the following years. Regular performances include venues such as the Pan-American Festival of Lakewood, the LA County Fair, and the Celebrity Centre in Hollywood, among numerous studio shows and community events.

JD Dance Company is unique in that we specialize in a wider variety of dance styles and education. Latin (Mambo, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Cha Cha, Cumbia, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Bolero, Rumba, Samba, Country 2-Step) and Smooth (Argentine Tango, American Tango, Foxtrot, Waltz, Viennese Waltz) Ballroom, Jazz, Ballet Folklorico, Hip Hop, Polynesian and Belly Dance are some of the many rhythms our students learn and in which they perform routines as a team, with a partner, and/or in solo spotlights. Many of our routines feature fusions of different styles, such as hip-hop-mambo, hip-hop-belly dance, jazz-mambo, samba-salsa, salsa-bachata, bolero-salsa, and much more.
