Growing up in SoCal, I was visiting incredible museums often. The work of all the artists of each section inspired me to express myself through visual mediums. I label my work Emlee 100 because I’ve been interested in experimenting with and practicing the hundreds of artistic mediums. I’ve engaged with painting, illustration, design, sculpture, ceramics, fashion, styling, murals, and installation art- enjoyed the learning process and many works in each practice. I incorporate my dreams, emotions, and synesthesic feelings into expressionist works of art.

This work is part of a series of yearly colorful self portraits. Based on diary entries written through the year, I paint a new piece as a reflection at the end of each year.

When I illustrate, I like to stay in black and white to focus on forms and symbols to tell visual stories.
Portraits
2025
While vending at events and selling my prints and paintings, I also offer to start commissions and live paint small portraits for the customer to pick up an hour later. I enjoy the challenge and the joy of a collaborative sentimental painting.
Vending & Face Painting
2021
When I attend art vending events, I'll offer body art and face painting in any design a customer asks for. I started vending at events in 2021 and still continue finding opportunities today.
