Adrien Padilla

Adrien Padilla is a dancer/choreographer that resides in the small town of Rosemead, California. Padilla earned his BFA in Dance at Cal State Long Beach after studying at Humboldt State University and Orange Coast College. Training in modern dance, ballet, improvisation, jazz, and tap with many professional institutions aided him in receiving such awards as the Fine Arts Affiliates Scholarship (CSULB), CSULB Dance Scholarship, and Dorothy Duddridge Scholarship (OCC).

Aside from choreographing and performing, Adrien is a photographer focusing on conceptual photography and solitude art. Padilla also enjoys working behind the scenes backstage performing various tasks in the theater as a stagehand. Padilla has had the privilege to work with artists Keith Johnson, Nate Hodges, Norbert De La Cruz III, and Sophie Monat. Padilla was also in Charles Weidman’s Lynchtown, staged by George Willis. Currently he is dancing as apprentice with the BackhausDance Company.

Three Generations explores the last year of my great grandmother, and how, as an adolescent, I witnessed my mother and grandmother face heartbreaking challenges and accepting my great grandmother’s fate.
