3 Women

3 Women is a women-owned sustainable fashion brand located in the East Village Arts District of Downtown Long Beach. Owned by long-time Long Beach resident Crystal Lee Early, Designer, and Natalie Mumford, Marketing Director, they like to think of the third women as all those they’ve had the privilege of collaborating and working with since their inception in February 2018. 3 Women designs clothing from vintage textiles and have come to be known for their vintage rice, flour, and feedsack creations. In a sentimental nod to Crystal’s family, their first jacket was made using a 1950s rice sack, saved from her family’s Chinese frozen food business, Dragon Foods, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

3 Women create clothes for all sizes and genders. Customers can make an appointment at their shop for a custom-fitting and to participate in the design process by choosing their own fabric from a rotating selection of vintage textiles.

Collaboration and community are the cornerstones of 3 Women. Since the beginning, they have worked with local artists and showcased their work at in-store pop ups, including the monthly Long Beach Art Walk. During the pandemic, as their audience grew, they used their platform to raise money for local-non profits, something they will continue to do in the future. “A threefold cord is not easily broken.”
